Why didn't they build the Jaegers twice as big as the Kaiju to crush them easily?
Really, instead of three one-hundred-metre robots, why not use the resources to build one three-hundred-metre goliath (yeah yeah, didn't think it through. It would just be really skinny!) to send the monsters packing?

During the battle off the coast of Hong Kong, Leatherback emits an electromagnetic pulse
disabling Striker Eureka, and at least briefly, some of the systems at the Shatterdome, but not Gipsy Danger, as Gipsy is "analog" and apparently not affected…

How does 3-person 3-arm control work on the Chinese Jaeger?
From what I understand, the way Jaegers are supposed to work, 2 pilots use 100% identical movements to control the Jaeger's movement, which mimics pilots' moves.
However, the Chinese Jaeger has 3 pilots and 3 arms.
None of those pilots have 3 arms.…

Does the mental link between the Jaeger pilots simply just connect and synchronize their movements, or does it also control the Jaeger?
In Pacific Rim, we see the pilots have a mental link that connects each other, and allows them to share memories, instinct and emotions. Does this mental link sends instructions to the Jaeger too? Because we see the pilots do synchronized moves, but…

In Pacific Rim what is keeping the ocean from rushing into the breach
In the movie Pacific Rim, the breach is located at the bottom of the ocean.
This breach is a wormhole/portal/gateway to some other universe that giant monsters freely move though back and forth.
What keeps our ocean from just emptying itself…

How did the Precursors know to invade earth? (Pacific Rim)
The Pacific Rim wiki explains that the Precursors became interested in Earth during the Triassic period, or some pre-history time, but it wasn't suitable for them. Millions of years later, the pollution of humans renders Earth sustainable for the…

Isn't the bomb in 'Pacific Rim' a bit small?
In Pacific Rim their plan is to throw a 1.2 megatons nuclear bomb into the breach.
Although this is reasonably sizeable for a nuke (Hiroshima was only 12.5 kilotons, about a thousand times less powerful) I would have thought that they would use…

Why don't they place a fortress near the Entrance in Pacific Rim
We see in the movie that Jaegers can clearly survive down there. Also we know that the reason the Jaegers are spread thin is the large area. What if we placed a fortress, or at least a guard, and follow this plan of action:
We know that there used…

What kind of ship is the ship–bat in Pacific Rim?
Jaeger dragging ship.
All the shots put the ship's beam (width) at 1 or 1½ road lanes. Despite the epicness of the sequence, that's a puny ship. I always thought it was a tanker.

Why don't Jaegers normally use effective weaponry like plasma guns & swords?
In the film Pacific Rim, the primary weapon of Jaegers seem to be fists. Granted, we don't see them at their best, but the only victories were because of Gipsy Danger's weaponry - first, a hand-mounted plasma cannon, and then second, a wrist-mounted…
