Batman (the Caped Crusader, Dark Knight, World’s Greatest Detective, etc.) is a DC Comics (dc) superhero and founding member of the Justice League. Unlike most DC superheroes, he has no superhuman abilities, instead relying on his wealth, skill, gadgets, an indomitable will, and his brilliant mind to solve crimes and battle evil.

Batman first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939, as the Bat-Man. He has appeared in numerous media over the decades, including comic books, radio series, many television series, and dozens of films.
