Why do several of the 2016 Star Wars sets include stands for the minifigs?
I've noticed that several of the new Star Wars sets include stands for the minifigs. For example Droid Escape Pod (75136):
What is the purpose of these? I don't see how they add play or display value.

Where can I find a 2x2 hinge on Bricklink?
In this picture "The neglect of duty" by Je hyung Lee, he uses four 2x2 hinges in the roof section I can't find on Bricklink.

Does soaking Lego pieces in isopropyl alcohol discolor or otherwise damage them?
I need to clean my Lego including minifigures, printed pieces and cloth pieces from smoke (apartment fire). I have found that soaking the pieces in isopropyl alcohol removes the smell, but am I damaging the pieces by soaking them for 1 or 2 days?
