I love end-of-the-world apocalyptic science-fiction, such as "A Canticle for Leibowitz", "Alas, Babylon", "On the Beach", and "The Stand".

I also read widely in sci-fi and fantasy. While I love "Lord of the Rings", I don't really go for the "Silmarillion" or the latter posthumously published works by Christopher Tolkien.
