The Walking Dead is an ongoing comic book series created in 2003 by Robert Kirkman (writer) and Tony Moore (artist).

It chronicles the lives and decisions made by survivors of a zombie apocalypse of unknown origin.

It was later adapted for television by Frank Darabont and premiered on October 31, 2010 on US cable network AMC. A series of print novels and several video games followed, as well as a spin-off TV show, Fear the Walking Dead, set in the early days of the zombie outbreak.
