I am a SMTS Software Development Engineer at AMD Research and Advanced Development (RAD) working on runtime systems and programming models for AI, graph processing, and heterogeneous computing.

Previously, I worked on the AMD GPU Windows driver and I accelerated DNNs through the use of multicores, GPUs, and neural network accelerators.

I received my Ph.D. from the Computer Science and Engineering Dept., Texas A&M University for my work on Runtime Systems for High-Performance Computing (HPC). Under the supervision of Dr. Lawrence Rauchwerger, I worked on the STAPL Runtime System (https://parasol-lab.gitlab.io/stapl-home/), a runtime system written in C++ that provides a unified interface over shared and distributed memory, a novel consistency model, and nested parallelism capabilities.

I hold a Dipl.-Ing. in Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly (https://www.e-ce.uth.gr/) where I worked on Signal Processing and Wireless Sensor Networks.

My interests include runtime systems for High-Performance Computing, distributed data structures and parallel algorithms, parallel programming models, heterogeneous computing, consistency models, compilers, and the intersection of parallel computing and machine learning.
