I have been making photographs to please myself, friends and family since I was about 10 years old ... that is nearly 50 years and counting. I like to record unusual details of places I have lived or visited, or anything else quirky and unusual that I encounter. I hope I manage to do that in a visually interesting, striking, revealing and/or moving way. I usually try to strengthen an image through strong formal composition, eliminating clutter and distraction, and reducing the colour palette.
