Written by Yirmiahu the prophet, in Aleph Bet format. Lamenting the imminent destruction of the Beis Hamikdash and exile from the land due to our sin, the Megilla was burnt by Yehoyakim the King of Judah who was unwilling to accept reprimand and it was rewritten. Read on the Fast of Tisha b'Av.
