Questions about the Qur'an القرآن, the divine scripture revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

The Qur'an literally means "The Recitation" and is the central religious text of Islam. Muslims consider it the verbatim word of God.

It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad piecewise over a period of about 23 years. The order of the ayat (verses) and surah (chapters) is as given to Prophet Muhammad by Allah.

The Qur'an serves as a complete code of life for Muslims, who strive to live their lives according to Allah and Prophet Muhammad by following the Qur'an. The Prophet Muhammad lead his life according to the will of Allah and the Qur'an and one learns from the Prophet's life how to act according to the Qur'an.

I have heard people say to keep it at a height and not at a very low place. See the diagram below. 3, 4, 5 would obviously be permissible (provided my hands reach 5) but can I keep at 1 & 2? Won't that be low?
