As as child I underwent the Upanayan / Janayu ritual at 14/15 years of age in the Shree Jagannath Mandir adjecent places by some Panda ji in Puri dhaam. The ceremony was not done exactly according to my wishes, as I didn't like religious concept…

Will there be any consequence to exceeding age 24 for Upanayana?
Apastamba Gryha Sutra, in verse 1.1.1.27, places a maximum age limit of 24 for the Upanayana ceremony.
If anyone exceeds this age for the ceremony, will there be any negative consequence?
