My family says not to water the tulsi plant on sunday and even not to pluck it on that day. Is it right?? Please explain it with proper justification.

It is in the answer that tulasi plucking not allowed on certain days. And in this answer it I mentioned that tulasi is indispensable. Question is how do you pick tulasi for pujas on restricted days?
