My work lunch routine currently consists of cooking chicken over the weekend and refrigerating it, then cutting up a piece and adding it with rice and vegetables in a refrigerated, sealed tupperware container the night before work. In the morning I take the container out of the fridge and put it in my backpack, where it stays for about 2 and 1/2 hours (or a little more) through my morning commute. As soon as I get to work I put it back in a refrigerator, microwave it and eat it about 4 hours later. Is this too long out of the refrigerator to safely eat?
