Kitchen clones of pet food

I’ve read books about kitchen clones of human food, now my question is this: is it possible to make kitchen clones of pet food? If not why?

Nothing prevents you from making pet food that tastes like store-bought brands except for a couple of things:

store-bought pet food may contain ingredients that are not fit for human consumption.
how your pet tastes the food may differ from how a person tastes the food, so even something that tastes identical to you may not to your pet.

It's not impossible to create a duplicate, but may be unhealthy or unpleasant to do so.
