I was mixing my brownie batter and the moment I cracked the egg open the yolk was runny.
Does runny yolk mean that it has gone bad? It didn't have a smell.

Old eggs, and low quality eggs, can sometimes have broken yolks in the shell from rough handling. Obviously that’s a problem if you wanted to separate them or keep the yolks intact, but it’s not a safety issue. If there’s no rotten egg smell, you can use as normal.
