Questions about the temple or tabernacle, or about typology involving the temple
God commanded Moses to build the tabernacle (a tent), where God was to be worshiped. Later on, Solomon built a permanent tabernacle (the temple). It was destroyed in the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem, but rebuilt in the days of Herod, then destroyed again by the Romans during the Jewish War. Before it was rebuilt, Ezekiel prophesied of another temple.
Jesus compared himself to the temple, and Paul called believers' bodies temples. There are various Christian interpretations of what that means, and of how the various prophecies regarding the temple will be fulfilled.
