SNOT (Studs Not On Top) is the term used for building with techniques to change the brick(s) direction.

SNOT (Studs Not on the Top) is an advanced building technique which allows for more creative models, often allowing builders to add extra detailing to walls or create more interesting angles, etc.

These can be accomplished either using specialist SNOT or "with knobs" bricks and plates:

Or with items such as hinges, etc to change direction and angle.

Are there SNOT models with instructions for beginners?

I would like to introduce SNOT building to my daughter. I have used this method only a few times myself and when I did, I was just messing around. I feel it would be simpler and less frustrating for my daughter if we had models and instructions…
