The name "LEGO" is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". It’s the name of the group, and it’s their ideal.

The LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen. The Company has passed from father to son and is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder.

Their Mission is to "Inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow"

Their ultimate purpose is to inspire and develop children to think creatively, reason systematically and release their potential to shape their own future - experiencing the endless human possibility.

Their Vision is "Inventing the future of play"

They want to pioneer new ways of playing, play materials and the business models of play - leveraging globalisation and digitalisation...it is not just about products, it is about realising the human possibility.

Difference between LEGO Castle and LEGO Kingdoms

Can anyone explain what the difference is between LEGO Castle and LEGO Kingdoms. I don't understand why they are not in the same product group. Also LEGO Kingdoms is no longer listed on the lego.com website.
