Nenmara

Nemmara is a town in Palakkad District, Kerala, India. Nenmara and Vallanghy villages host Nemmara Vallanghy Vela, one of the popular annual festivals in the state, with fireworks as the major attraction. Nemmara is the entry point to the Nelliampathi Hills, at the foothills of the Western Ghats.

By bus

  • 🌍 Nenmara Bus stand. Nenmara Bus Stand is connected with Pollachi, Palakkad, and Thrissur Coimbatore buses. Bus to Nelliyampathi Hill Station from Nenmara. 

Get around

  • Bus - Nenmara is well connected by public bus transport. The state runs KSRTC and many private operators operate bus services.
  • Autorickshaw - This is cheap way of transportation between attractions. Rickshaw drivers are generally very polite unlike big cities of India. However, if you are a foreigner trying to get around by yourself, agree on fare before boarding.
  • Taxi - Local taxis are also available at cheap rates. You will have to bargain. Hotels can arrange taxis.
