Chavakkuk (Habakkuk) was one of the "Minor Prophets", twelve prophets who authored fairly-short prophetic books and collected into a single volume, appearing at the end of the 'Nevi'im' (Prophets) section of the Bible. Chavakkuk prophesied about the exile of Israel from the Land of Israel at the hands of the Babylonians, and also included a prayer he composed to God, asking for redemption.
Consisting of a prophecy regarding the exile from the land of Israel by Nevuchadnetzar King of Bavel and Chavakkuk's heartfelt prayer for redemption from G-d. According to Zohar Beshalach, Chavakkuk was the son of the Shunamite woman that was revived by Elisha in Melachim 2:4:16-37.
