Not read the book as of yet but when it arrived the book was damaged. The envelope it came in was absolutely fine and undamaged. A real shame to say it isn't a second hand book, it shouldnt be damaged the way it is! But for £2.50 you can't go wrong for the knowledge

I found this book a good introduction to CBT generally which explains how the way we think about events really does shape how we behave and the things we believe for better or for worse. However, I found it only covered a small section of problems (depression, anxiety, insomnia) and didnt go into as much detail as it could have when dealing with those issues. Although it is a really good introduction and a useful start.

To be able to identify the way I am feeling with the typical symptoms of Anxiety plus insomnia being listed at the start of the book, I knew I was off to a good start. The mind and body exercises are looking pretty good and I’ve shared what I’ve read so far with my husband. It’s not something we talk about very much but this book has opened up that channel between us. So please I found it.
